Understanding Grief and Loss AND How to Support People with an Intellectual/Developmental Disability in Coping with Grief and Loss

Learning Outcomes:

The participant will learn about what grief is, how it affects a person, and what is normal. the participant will also learn about the stages and theories related to grief as well as what the research says about grief and loss as it pertains to someone with an intellectual or developmental disability. The participant will learn tips and strategies for supporting a person who is grieving.
